Current Exhibits at the Latimer Quilt and Textile Center
The former schoolhouse auditorium serves as a gallery. It is a beautifully proportioned room with state-of-the art gallery lighting. Six exhibits directly related to textiles are held here annually, each presented for two months. Most years there is a one person show by a quilter and another by a weaver and both quilting and weaving shows by various groups and guilds. Other subjects covered have been basketry, crochet, costumes from Portland Opera plays, spinning and wearable art.
